Has anyone made this or seen it on another boat?

I would like to make this aft fishing station for my '68 Holiday V O/B. I have two Rivera electric 48" down riggers , That I want to mount one on each side but because of the weight of them and the potential down force with FISH ON !!!! I am hesitant to mount them directly to my gunwales even though there is enough room for the mounts, I feel the stock aluminum gunwale even with aluminum or steel plates underneath won't be sufficient. I can also mount all my rod holder (Custom by me ) and a few beverage holders also with out drilling massive holes in the gunwales therefore weakening the structure of the boat ?
Thank You

The PIC is small and is the only one like it I could find
Thank you

Ayuh,... There ain't no fish weight when there's a Fish On...
The rigger, Releases at 1st strike....

The Problems arise, when ya run a 10lb rigger weight into a cliff face 25' higher than yer runnin'...
Yer downrigger should have a drag setting to help with that though...

My '74 Starcraft has been though the whole thing, 'n the plastic Cannon mount base broke 1st, when anchored SOLID to the bottom..
That's with just 1/2" plywood under the aluminum, 'n through bolted...

Yeah I thought about it after I posted sorry . I am using 8 pounders too ! Yet it is still a nicely laid out fishing station I was just looking for a few more details but looks like I gotta sort this one out solo LOL
Thanks

I have an 18' IB/OB so my back is "cleaner" less things going on. I made a 9 footer that goes across the back. It is hmmm 6"X1"x9' mahogany board. I installed 2 dove tail plates on the transom through top deck backed with 1/2 ply, a spacer to get board about 6-8' off the transom deck (just clearing the ventilation scoops). That way I can remove the whole thing when not in use/traveling. On the 2 outer ends I have "through hole" rod holders, in about hmmm right over the mounts to the transom 2 Big jons electric riggers, then 2 more through hole rod holders equally spaced in the center. 6 rod placement. Seemed to work good last year. Did not get any really bad "hang-ups though.
