Has anyone used a automatic charging relay?

I ordered a selector switch to install on my pontoon, but then saw they make an auto switch, how reliable are these? I saw them from $20 all the way up to $150 on Amazon, good or bad experiences? The manual switch I would have to mount at the console but I feel like these I could mount anywhere.

What are your trying to do?
A battery switch and an ACR have to completely different functionalities

The battery switch is used to disconnect the battery to prevent discharge and to select which battery to use when running dual battery setups

The ACR connects between two batteries to allow a single charge source to charge both batteries.

Actually, using both is a good idea. If you buy the BlueSea Add-A-Battery kit, you get the best of both worlds: an ACR (to automatically charge both batteries) and a selector switch.
