Has anyone used an aftermarket power tilt on an open aluminum skiff with tiller?

I'm thinking of adding the CMC power tilt to my 16 Lund SSV (tiller driven). I have a 40hp Yamaha 2 stroke.

Has anyone done this? I'm not sure the effect of moving the motor a few inches back with regard to steering, boat trim and transom stress.

A Yamaha power tilt is way too expensive.

Thoughts?
