Hello all. I have a 1986 27' Bayliner Ciera.
Engine is a 260A Volvo with what I think is a Volvo 280 out drive.
I purchased the boat last season with a bad engine. It ran but was shot. So I have nothing to compare the performance to. Any way with the bad engine the boat would produce 3100 or so rpms at wot. I replaced the engine, new carb, manifolds, risers, new distributor, wires, basically everything. I'm still getting the same results, 3100 or so rpms at wot.

With the help of this forum, (Don S especially) I have eliminated the following.
Fuel, it isnt old.
Tune up, its all brand new.
Restrictions of fuel, no problems there.
Vacume leaks, not there.
Linkage is fine, every thing he said to check I checked and its all good.

I looked at the prop today and it looks ok, there is a string wrapped around it (I need to get it off I know) but it isnt bent, with the exception of one small spot.
The prop size according to the paper work given to me when I purchased the boat says its a
15*19 left standard Michigan Match 082021.

The receipt says it was purchased in 2002.
Since the boat is in the water I cant see the actual numbers on the prop. If this is the actual prop on the boat would it be the correct one?
According to mechanics the boat should run about 4500 rpms at wot. There is no vibration or noise when running.
Timing is dead on and she runs great.
Im lost.
