Have many question but will start with one. The ground (black ) wire

The black ground wire that connects to the motor and is part of the wiring that goes to the IGNITION switch. Where is that end suppose the connect too?

It is a 1984 125 Force. I can see where the black wire connects to the motor with all the other wires. When iu follow it to the ignition it is not connected to anything and there is no spot for it on the ignition switch.

The black wire terminates at the terminal block under the dash and DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE IGNITION SW. Its function is to provide ground connection for instrumentation and light. etc. Tracing it back it connects to the terminal block inside the engine cowling, to the starter solenoid and then to the engine block.
