OK, what am I missing? Looks like the bottom of an older alum boat sitting on a trailer. So what? am I missing?

self sinking you mean i think i would of noticed that i was drilling holes in the bottem of my boat

Sure looks like rivets coming out to me.Not to be a smartazz or nothing like that there.

it was at the local marina the guy who owend it was drilling holes for something and didn't relize he was drilling all the way through

No big deal!!! Just get some nuts and bolts with some JB weld and insert the bolt in the hole put jb weld around it, then put the nut on it with more JB and tighten…..So So simple and will last longer than a rivet. My friend’s 16’ alum.. Has at least 20 rivets done this way with years of service already behind him.

As long as there's an even number of holes its OK. One in - on out. If there's an odd number youre in trouble!<br /><br />Right!!!
