Hmmm, the trailer is probably worth more than the boat?

Great idea but at what cost compared to a regular trailer. Wonder how it would fare with a side current.
Would be tough for me to justify the expense.

If you have your outboard down, you better remember to raise it before the "gator" gets the lower unit!

I suppose there's somebody around who'll pay out their good money for a contraption like that...think I'll pass and just keep things simple...enough other stuff to tear up!

That might be real nice for a larger boat 30+ footer, cabin cruiser type or longer offshore, but for a 16' runabout? Seems like a waste of money for a smaller boat.

To complicated for a trailer. I wonder how it would hold up in salt water with the electic acctuators...

I dont think it would work to well with a roller trailer. un hooking straps then backing in.

Re: Have you guys seen this one?

i could see a simplified version of that as a REALLY nice trailer for low water loading. Imagine something similar to a pontoon scissor trailer but for boats. Basically this guys trailer minus the top.

Wow, someone put a lot of time into developing that thing. Other than those handy side boards and the security aspect, I am not sure what it provides that other trailers can't. Seems any extra money I would spend would go into the boat not the trailer.

I agree. Looks like the first wind and the thing's bent up and destroyed!

I don't think I'd ever need that.
