Having trouble with a trac electric winch.

It hasn't worked at all. The service people are great!!! Exceptional service, quick response an pros, but after 2 replacements, it still doesn't work. Any input? Is TRAC a good product or should I go for another brand? I think I lost faith in the product.

Can you elaborate on "hasnt worked at all"? Does it do nothing at all? Or wont pull a load? Or?

If, after three different units, none of them have worked in any capacity, I would suspect something gone wrong with the installation.

The installation is right by the book with the right wire gauge. I ran it from the battery to a rear plug (that they recommend, trolling motor). The first one worked about 3 times, then it would not spool at all, any direction. The second one makes noise, like its stuck, but does not work in any direction. The TRAC people said it was a clutch or board that was bad. The first one, one of the gears broke. (My boat weighs in at,1200 lbs, 15.5 ft). The second, it just makes noise, nothing happens. The 3rd one I am still waiting delivery (sorry my mistake). My issue is, is this a good product? I'll try the one I am expecting, but am I better off buying a more expensive one, like a Power Winch????? Any additional thoughts?
