hay guys need to know what years legs will fit a78 erude

My buddie got a 78 erude 55 hp and he needs a short leg for her ?? what years can we use ???? Thanks John

there was a change in 1977, 73-76 were hydro mechanical, 77 up are mechanical. so probably into the early 80's. compare the casing #s, and drive shaft #s.
