Hi All,

First time poster...long time reader here.
I have a 1983 Johnson 90hp V4. I have noticed that some of the head bolts(not all)have a significant amount of rust on them.I would hate to see them rust to the point of not being able to remove them in the normal manner(read that, NOT with a drill and easy-outs). My question is, can I remove them and replace them one at a time and not have problems with the gasket seal?(I will torque them to specs.) Or do I have to remove them all, clean the surfaces re-gasket and replace all bolts?
Thank for a most appreciated site, I have learned much from all of you.

Dave

Dave,

One at a time should be OK.

As you take them out, wire brush them, and use a light coat of OMC gasket sealer. Retorgue in regular manner.
