head gasket replacement- what comes off?

I just got a copy of the Clymer manual for my '87 V4 and of course they describe a complete powerhead removal instead of breaking it up into more commonly performed jobs. What exactly needs to be removed before the heads can be removed to R&R the head gaskets? It looks obvious that the ignition coils, power pack, and everything in front of the heads need to be removed. Is there anything else that has to be removed?<br /><br />Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If you don't see anything else then your ready to take them off. Pretty straight forward deal.
