Well my AQ125A Started losing power on the water. So I pulled her out and ran a compression check. 115/115/110/0 I think I blew the head gasket. No water in the oil. I am going to order the head gasket kit and a new timingbelt. Anything else I should check or replace while I am in there?

Re: Head Gasket

With 0 compression, I would be looking at the valves, not the head gasket......
Or a holed piston....
Of course, you will need to pull the head to fix either.....;)

Re: Head Gasket

Yeah, The head comes off before I order anything. I never heard anything that would direct me to believe I have a hole in the piston. I also plan to have the head worked on while I have it out so if it is a valve no biggie. The only reason I was thinking head gasket is I had an overheat last season due to a failed raw water pump. Once I changed the oil and replaced the pump it seem to run fine for a while. SO I am thinking that maybe the head gasket was damamged during the overheat and it got worse. That is my hope anyway.

Re: Head Gasket

Those engines typically run around 150 to 175 lbs of compression. So your 115's are really low also.
