Hello I have a 75 70hp Johnson I did a compression test just to see where it was at, motor runs well but wanted to test anyways anyways I have 110 on two cylinders and the bottom cylinder has 97 is this something I should worry about or run it? Or would a new headgasket help? Motor was new to me this year did a lot of work to it coils powerpack fuel lines added tell tale lu oil change plugs filters basic maintenance along with a new impeller.

Re: headgasket ???

Just at the limits of spec, Red. 13% spread when the spec is normally 10% and sometimes quoted as 15%. #3 may have a bit of carbon in the rings.

I would run a decarbon procedure and retest, but only for comfort sake. You do not have a problem.
