Has anybody thought about using trex decking, I'm sure we have all seen the ads but in case you haven't check this out.<br /><br /> http://www.trex.com/products/whatistrex.asp <br /><br />Why could you not use this in place and then glass over it. Any thoughts Guys/Gals?

You'd have to do some careful research to see if you could establish an appropriate epoxy/poly bond. Plus the decking is very heavy compared to wood and not nearly as rigid.

Jg, I think I agree with Quantumleap about the bonding issues. However, I saw an add for that starbrite plastic lumber and wondered if Trex would be a substitute for it. I would think Trex would (replace old teak) and make a good ski well cover, and with appropriate structural engineering, a good swim platform.
