49 for ever it is! hi WM. Fun day yesterday, 8 hrs of heavy metal, Female body surfers, wearing mini skirts, should really remember to put on underwear. Only had 'bout 20 min of drizzle and the rest was perfect. That mosh mash is insane, especially towards the end , geez give a bunch of kids 8 HOURS to prime, not like a normal 3 hr concert, and there is gonna be trouble. Licking my wounds today. Its a war zone down there. People lose thier shoes , then people pick em up and throw em, along with beer cans, glasses, some full. You name it, it was airborne. Should have been wearing a hockey helmet. Saw more then 1 bloody nose.. Couldnt believe all the lost clothing , bras, smashed eyeglasses, car keys, beads.[think Mardi Grah] socks, puke, money, and whatever else, littering the ground. Made it home in one piece, a few bruises, but no blood loss. Cant hear so good today. More Advil...

37 yrs old, and attended a little concert a couple weeks ago in Indio California. Only had four no-name bands, but the show was pretty good.

Who were those guys, give me a minute to recall their names. Small bands from the 80s and 90s... Oh, yeah....Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, and Metallica. Or something like that. just a couple of small bands from California and an east coast band.

Nice show!

Re: HEAVY METAL DAY ,musically speaking

Windstorm in the desert...notice the angle of those trees in the background. The stage, speakers, and lights were swaying with the trees. It was hot, but that wind kept it comfy.

My brother is 10 yrs older than me, and lives nearly walking distance from Indio, so he bought the tickets and told me to get my ar$e out there and use his second ticket. So I did. cost me $600 for air-fare and car out of Riverside last minute, but worth every dollar. And getting to hang out with big bruddah! Haven't seen him in several years. We needed some time to catch up.

I have to say, though, Megadeth was by far the best part of the show. They didn't get the stage time they deserved, because everyone else "thinks" metallica is the headliner, so they got way more stagetime. But Dave's show was WAY more awesome than metallica's. Metallica has their show so orchestrated...sounds like every other show I have seen them in over the years. Just "too right" to be live. Megadeth got down and personal with everyone, and put on a great show! Metallica lost that with their huge popularity and commercialism.
