what is the fastest, easiest way to bring back the color of my boat? i am in the process of dry sanding (special equipment) buffing, polishing, hand glazing then waxing a 24' rogue cruiser not an easy or quick task. it is a 1988 and i am not satisfied with end result

You might give this
a try. It works pretty well.

A good test for it is if your gelcoat looks good wet, then it will do pretty well with this.

Do a search for "Restoring Old Gel Coat" or search under member MARK42. He has an article that took 30 years off my 72 fiberform. I went from the rubbing compound, straight to a polishing / wax combo, but i would recommend following the article exactly as he wrote it. You have to get a real polishing machine, and go very thourough (but not real hard) on the first step (Comet and Scotch Brite pads). When you get done with that step, you think you ruined your gel, but trust me once you get to the polishing compound step, you will want to hug your neighbor, kiss the dog, and crack a beer. The shine is amazing, and my boat is red instead of chalkboard pink.
