Hi Team.

I have the 25" shaft on my 110HP Johnson on a 25" transom - all good.

Where (vertical difference in height) should the prop shaft sit in relation to bottom of transom?

Optimal location to eliminate caviation, etc.

Typically the anti ventilation plate should be even with the bottom of the boat.

The AV plate is the flat plate directly above the prop. Flush is a starting point. Best performance is generally achieved at one or two inches above the bottom of the boat but the exact location depends on the prop, hull, etc.
