Apparently some prior owner of my new to me '03 50HP screwed with the factory set timing advance at the Heim joints linked directly to the advance. The factory paint marker is gone and one of the Heim Joints is buggered up where the clown pried it off. He messed with the idle stop too, the paint is gone there as well. The paint is still on the factory WOT advance stop and he has the throttle cable adjusted a half inch above the two arrows on the linkage actuator. I finally got back my loaned out timing light and I'm headed up to the lake place this weekend to do a Joe Reeves WOT timing procedure. Any idea what size ignition wrench is needed to unscrew the trapped ball/Heim joint?
