Well i said hello in the Johnson forum but wanted to say hi here as well. Im a 16 year old kid who loves boats and cars more than most things. I dont know everything and dont pretend to. My family owns three boats a 2009 Bentley pontoon with a 60 hp merc BF, a 50's 15 foot alumistar with a 25 hp johnson and a 18 foot cheetah with a 115 evinrude.

I just got done restoring a 1978 oldsmobile cutlass with my grandpa and im starting work on my car which is a 1964 dodge dart GT.

Re: Hello all

Welcome to the forum. I'll just call you 18fc - easier to type for an old man !!
If you have questions concerning boats or anything related to them you came to the right place. The guys here are full of wisdom ( among other things ) and are pretty much willing to help in any way they can.
Certainly am glad to see you interested enough in your "hobby" to be posting here.
Good luck with your projects and keep us posted on your progress !!!! :D

Re: Hello all

Hello 18footer! Welcome to the forum. Cars and boats ... don't get much better than that! I have a 62 Cutlass ... didn't need restored cause it has less than 5000 original miles on her! Also have a 76 Firebird T/A - 50th Anniv. Addition. Sweat original "Smokey and the Bandit" version.

GM cars and boats with Johnsons ... nope, don't get much better ...

Re: Hello all

Welcome!! Sounds like you have great hobbies already!

I had a 67 Dart when i was about 18..I pulled the original motor and found an old plymouth fury cop car with the 360...
Built the 360 and dropped it in the dart....man that thing was wicked. It would lift the front wheels off the ground!

Welcome aboard and post up some pics of your projects!:D

Re: Hello all

welcome, Cheetah, i like that name, as it sounds like you are a go getter. just a note, my parents bought a 1967 Valiant 170 slant 6, for my first car. i went thru the car, then my brother, and may sister. it had 270,000 miles on it, and never had any maintainance other than normal up keep. no one had never been into it. the motor did not have enough power to tear itself up.

you are among friends here, we have quite a few members in your age group, that are very knowledgeable in boats and motors.
