My name is Kyle. I grew up deep sea fishing in South Florida, and fresh water fishing/skiing on Lake Champlain in Vermont. I am a Senior Chief in the US Navy. I just picked up a 1988 Lowe 14 ft jon boat with a 1989 Mercury 25 HP to take my family fishing on the many lakes and rivers here is Southeastern Virginia. Came across this website tonight and just wanted to say hello. A TON of information on this site which is great! Hope to see ya'll on the water......

Given your background, I suspect you will soon come down with a case of twofootitis. :)

Welcome aboard, and thank you.

Make sure all of your family members wear a PFD on that little jon boat, and the captain should wear one as well to set a good example for the "crew" because safety is first!

... after the safety training comes lots and lots of FUN!!!

Welcome aboard to a voice from my old stomping grounds. Had a lot of good times in the Tidewater area in years past. Some of it even fishing.

Welcome aboard Chief!

Glad you got a boat for the family. You're in a beautiful area to use it; we visit Williamsburg every couple of years and come down to Norfolk and Newport for at least a day. Very pretty area.

Thanks for your service.

Welcome aboard Senior Chief! Sorry for the demotion here, cadet, but keep posting and enjoying the iboats family and you will rise in rank faster than you ever did in the navy! And don't forget, iboats not only has the greatest forum around, but an awesome online store for everything boating!
