Hello new here this will be my first post. I just bought a boat off someone for a really cheap price. its a very old runabout boat. 14 ft fiberglass, Im trying to find some info on the boat but there is no plate on it and he didnt have ownership. From what i can tell from some searches i did last night that it could be a boat from the 60s. Maybe a starcraft. One i have enough post i will add some pictures. It is pretty much bare bones. has the wires for everything but no floor. Hopefully you guys will be able to help me out. Just new into boating. mostly do fishing in a cheap pond hopper boat. But looking to expand in the near future. Just undecided what to do with this boat i just got. Make it a fishing boat or a boat for the family to cruise around in. Anyway looks like a great site.

Thanks
Chris

Welcome aboard, Chris! Everyone and their brother seemed to make a boat back then ... http://www.fiberglassics.com/library...itle=Main_Page might be of help to you.

First of all, before doing any work on the boat, make sure you can get a title for it! You don't want to spend time and money on something you cannot register. Different states have different laws concerning titling of boats, so check with you DMV to find out what you need to do.

Next, take a boaters safety course before you hit the water.

You will also find out that usually what starts out as a "cheap" or "Free" boat, isn't. B.O.A.T Bust Out Another Thousand ... but we all love them and the relaxation you receive while on the water is better than any therapy! Enjoy your boat, and enjoy the forum. We are all here to help!

I think you have to post at least three posts before you can upload pictures. And then your pictures have to be under 700kb in size. But that is a really large picture, so no problems.
