Hello,
Sorry for buggering you all with some silly novice question but i have 2 tournament in 5 days and need to get the boat working. The boat shop in my region have too much stuff to do and charge me extras i wont be able pay.

So my problem, Put the boat out 4 time. Works good the first 2 time, and now 2 time the starter got stuck up. Had to disengage from the battery,HIT IT,and idk, then it wouldnt started at all. The second time it happened the battery got really hot. Well the cable anyway.I had to use plyers to remove the wires or else id burn myself. . First it got stuck on my main battery, but it turns out it went back down and nothing got hot. Then i thought the battery could have been dead so,plug it on my trolling motor battery ,same thing happened. You can hear it turning when turning the keys but its missing a little something to get it going. Like its not turning fast enough OR going up fully? I cant even repair my car at all so the boat is sitting back here with the start still in up position. Anyone got simple fix i could use?

Lubricant on the shaft/starter? Its been sitting somewhere for at least all winter long idle, outside.

I read lots of topics on this kind of problem but people go nuts about fix i dont even understand. specially when they use terms like must be the pos/neg relay on that blablabla. lost me.

It started good the second time anyway we ran 5min and then turn on the trolling motor for 4h and then WTF,stopped running again. SO we turn the key switch for a solid 10min before it actually got stuck up. I have a feeling its something really stupid/easy but giving the time i have i need help on this,

Any tips will be appreciate, thanks in advance.
