Hey again,
I posted a thread at the beginning of june that mentioned all the problems with my viking. all it was missing was the plunger return spring, and I was able to find a replacement spring. I was running it a little in a bucket, and it was running great. Thanks again to the guys that helped me get the engine running, scotty and gary.

I took the engine to my cottage and tried it out on my little tin boat. The engine ran great and started on the first pull, but no water was coming out. So i took the motor off, thinking one of the ball check valves were stuck, and found out the lower "B" check valve (at the bottom of the anti-cavitation plate) was missing! I think i was smart enough to only put that check valve finger-tight so its somewhere at the bottom of my lake. I only ran the engine for about 10 seconds at the dock, before noticing the lack of water, so its somewhere near my dock, but after 4 hours of searching, I gave up.

If someone has one of these engines, can someone send me a picture of the valve and possibly with some dimensions and the thread? I know a machinist that may make me a new one if I give him a picture and dimensions.
Of course it would be great if someone had a parts engine and could give me the part or sell it for a reasonable price. Thanks

You might post in the free webvertize at www.aomci.org. It appears to be an odd brand sold by Eaton. Some details on the builder will help.

I did some searching around....Apparently the year is slightly off, but it was one of the first eaton vikings ever produced. There isnt much information on it as there arent many around. Its too bad, the poor engine has been beat up but probably only has 15 hours on it. No one could ever get it started, but me!
If anyone has a picture of that little brass check valve or a link, please post it. I was hoping to get this engine running before the snow flies!

The AOMCI free classified page---'Webvertise'--- that Steelespike suggested is still the best chance of finding what you need, Their Ask-a-Member board the best source of help. Your dealing with an antique engine so the antique outboard group is the place you need to look for advice and parts!
