Use a Tiny Tach, inductive tach to test RPM at plug wires when it acts up.
Look for erratic RPM on each cyl compared to boat tach.
Write down your findings and repost.
It is possible that you are developing a temperature related inconsistancy in the ignition module, prove it before spending any money.
It could be a stator beginning to fail at temp. Additional testing may be required to isolate your problem.
