Help 2007 Suzuki DF70 Water pressure kit

I bought the water pressure kit for my 2007 suzuki df70 and it didn't come with instructions as I was told. Where do I tap into the water on the engine for my T connector? There are a few hoses that could be carrying water but not sure which one and was told by my mechanic not to use the one going to the tell tale. Please be as specific as possible !

Any help would be appreciated as I got the engine apart now and would like to get this done and get her back together, thanks!

there are only two places to tap into. 1) T into the tell tale. That's what the "T" is for. 2) Into the water jacket via a removable plug (there may or may not be one that is not already being used). The reason you were told (generally incorrectly) is that the water pressure is not the same at that point than if you tapped into the block. At wide open throttle there is a heck of a lot more water going out the exhaust so pressure at the tell tale is as good a spot as any to tap into. Some engines don't have the plastic restrictor on the tell tale and in those cases that may indeed result in a slightly lower reading. Try it. If it doesn't work replace the hose and figure out a spot on the engine. But hang in there, I'll be working on a 2008 on Monday and I'll take a picture.

Interesting- I acutually ended up taping into the line coming off the lower mid section of the engine which I assumed had to be water and going into the head on the opposite side of the engine as the oil filter. I started the engine up and at about 3000rpm (in neutral) I was getting 6psi, boat should go in next week and I will check to see psi at WOT.

If the tell tale gives you better results than around i'm guessing 5-7psi give a holler!

I had the boat out today

WOT was between 9-10 psi

4000rpm was between 7-8psi

This is also all on a fresh water pump
