I now have all the parts in order to repair the idle adjust i.e.(throttle stop and pin, throttle adjust screw and spring, and the bushing) However, the throttle "shaft" has no hole or any other indicator as to where to set the throttle stop should go. So....I'm stumped should I drill a hole and if so, where? Please could some one send me a picture of how the throttle stop mechanisms is suppost to work. Or just some good advise would be greatly appreciated. Again its a 62 Evinrude Lark 4.

Thanks,

Tim

try this; go to shop.evinrude.com, look in "parts", select your year and horsepower, (I think they only go back to 1968 but, it may have a similar arrangement), you can get an exploded view of the linkage area and you can increase the blow-up so you might be able to see how it's hooked up.

Well, I tried both options with no luck. I think I may need a picture or a professional. :(
