I purchased the boat last year and ran it a few times and have had good luck besides the minor things I had to replace like the sea water pump and the intake/exhaust manifold but other than that the engine runs good so I decide to give the engine a good tune up and get it ready for this summer so I removed drive greased, checked gimbal bearings, did compression check replace plugs, wires, dist. Cap, rotor, and so on and so forth. We'll I get to the carburetor and decide to tear it apart and buy a kit mainly to clean in good( by the way I'm a diesel mechanic so I half *** know what I'm doing) we'll I remove the carb and get to looking and find that it's a motocraft 2bbl 2150 carb, ( thought it was odd to have ford parts on a gm engine but I figured marine?? Ok ) well I get to looking for a carb kit but I can't find any matching numbers? So I believe someone has put a automotive carb on it? So my question is did motocraft make a marine carb? Also the only numbers I can find on it are D7AE-KA ( does this tell anyone anything) and also if this is not acceptable for a marine engine does anyone know where I can find the correct carburetor? I would even be happy with a good used one but I would like a holley or equivilant. Thanks ahead for the advice!

No my carb does not look like that and I can not believe someone put this crap on the boat I mean carbs can pretty much always be rebuilt I just do not understand why someone would take the holley off. Thanks for the help I will definitely be looking for a used one.
