Have you checked for spark?
When was the last time you had it out?
Could be a lot of different things. If it hasn't been out in a while the gaskets in the carb could have dried out and are sucking air, moisture under the distributor cap etc.

Ok... so you say the filter "looks great"...how about the water separator? And how about the choke? Sounds like time for some basic fundamental 101 troubleshooting from the engine manual....

Did it die when you tried to get on plane or did you not make it that far?

Yea your manual should have basic troubleshooting steps in it.

If you have fuel you need to see If you have spark. Take the lead (spark plug wire) from the coil, or one of the spark plug wires off a plug, and ground it out on the block and see if you have spark. Might have to stick a screwdriver in there to ground it.

I'm thinking you might have ran low on oil or your oil filter is clogged and you have a low oil pressure kill switch that is activating. And how did your temps look? Say your impeller died (When was the last time you changed it and have you ever stated the engine out of water?) right about out the no wake is when your engine would over heat and possibly shut down again.

Or the wire connectors on the switch came loose and ones is wiggling around.

That's what happened to me. Kept making the fuel pump cut off.

Mine will do this if i overfill the fuel tank on the trailer. Once in the water the fuel shifts and covers the vent. The system cant breath runs like crap and dies often until fuel level drops a bit.
Just a thought.
Or your vent could actually be blocked.

Ok. So the oil sensor kill switch if it were the problem would make the fuel pump cut off. You have fuel so its NOT the problem. you have an IGN prblem. When was the last time you serviced your IGN?

hello everyone... ok so here it goes after downloading TS link i went through the steps and i think i have a bad ignition sensor i used a volt meter and followed the steps in order and have found that i have spark at the green /white wire test so it says to replace ignition sensor .. will try to get one locally, if not ill order one online of from a dealer in oregon who will overnite it.. i ran the test several times and come up with the same results every time, so this is it i hope!!!!!! will update after i get new parts
