help chrysler o/b lower unit

shop said it needed seals. is this something i can do myself. im pretty mechnical. its a 1975 135. please email me any info would be great i cant check this site often. thanks in advance.

Freakdaddy...If you are good mechanically I see no problem. Just remember to be careful with steel bolts in aluminum, easy to strip threads...check a manual for torque specs. You can find the seals an o-rings at bearing supply houses...I go to Idaho Bearing Supply, or Kamam Bearing for these parts. Also replace impeller, and housing(if needed). <br />I just rebuilt old Chrysler 70hp...seals and o-rings at Kaman Bearing cost me less than 10 bucks...versus 70 bucks for a kit. Good luck
