Help Finding 79 OMC Service Manual

New to the forums, and boating. 79 Aristocraft Nineteen with 4 Cylinder GMC with OMC drive. Looking to aquire (factory?) service manual either to purchase or download, so the education process can begin. What manuals are the best so I know what to look for.

Not sure what is available in 'adults only' for your OMC but I believe I boats has lists some factory manuals for sale.

Forget a Clymer manual and only go for a Seloc (a little better) in a pinch. Don't let the cheaper prices lure you. They are both pretty bad.

Thanks for the info, I went to the "Adults Only" and tried to download the "Seloc #3400" and get an error message "error opening document" "bad encripted dictionary"
Any ideas on how to get around that?

I just pulled it off and opened it no problem. I have Adobe reader 8.
You might want to d/l a free version off the net if yours is older than ver. 8

Howard, thanks, I will have to check my Adobe Reader and StevP, I want a manual so I can educate myself because this is the first boat we've owned. Steve since I have never seen one, if I was to look for a factory manual via the internet, how do I tell a factory manual vs an aftermkt?

don't know if this helps. but here ya go. i just googled omc factory service manual. this was one of the top hits. try different wording for a search too might yield some other results too..

Finally was able to bring it up, had to update my Adobe Reader. Thanks to all who responded. As for going to the lake today, doubt it, gotta work on the honey do list a little before I can play.
