help finding a used 4 stroke 50 - 70 outboard

is there anywhere that sells used outboards on the internet. i need a 50-70 hp outboard and want it to be a 4 stroke,im getting sick of my 50 hp evinrude,its just one thing after another.i have never had any luck with a 2 stroke engine wether it be a weedeater or outboard, we just dont get along! i would like a 4 stroke. any help would be great.<br /><br /> thanks<br /> <br /> ben c.

Check E-bay, and simply do a search for used outboards. I might ask why you would buy something used from the internet since you can't see it, hear it, or run it. Buy it locally from a private party or a local dealer who will be prepared to service it. Just to nag a little -- any problem you had with two strokes will likely carry over to a four stroke. You still have carburetion, you have valve adjustments and timing belt replacements plus oil changes. All the things that can ail a two stroke can ail a four stroke (and then some).

Shame on me. I'll take 30 lashes with a wet noodle. Here I am on the iBoats forum and failed to mention that you can buy used outboards from this site. Go to the top of the page and click the tab that says BOAT MOTORS.
