Hi, I have been restoring a 1978 Chris Craft Catalina Express 29ft. I am trying to find the original material used for the cabin upholstery. Does anyone know where I might find some? It is a brown/orange plaid material with a yellow rib, and some seats have yellow vinyl in high wear areas. I have attached a picture of the boat & a cushion.

Unless you are going to compete seriously in boat shows with severe & expensive " trailer queens ". Use a VERY MODERN easy to clean material.

LOVE the genuine ARTIFICAL white Leather Naugahide on my Chaparral. Clean that spider poop easy with straight bleach in 5 minutes on a sunny day.

ya... I was going to just re-do the whole interior with a new material, but the thing is.. it is in mint condition except for 2 cushions...80% is fine, so if I could just find the original I'd be all set. There is a Marine store (the remains of the old Chris Craft plant) in Michigan I spoke to who had the material but sold all of it a month or so ago. So i know it is out there somewhere.

Monday. Call the Antique & Classic Boat Society in Clayton , N Y 3156862628

Ask for a recent old issue of their magazine. Offer to pay. Has LOADS of companies that restore old boats. Call ALL to find who bought the stuff. Pray it was not a person like yourself.

Good luck.
