help finding part oem

i have got a part on a 76 402/40 hp mercury that is made of plastic. it is called secondary throttle pickup. when you push throttle lever foward this piece turns and opens up throttle butterfly. it has a screw with a rubber end on it and a nut that you lock it with. the plastic is broken where the screw goes thru it. where can i find this part and can it be replaced? about how much does it cost?

You can order one thru any Merc dealer if they're still available. There is a website where you can look that up. Google mercury parts express. You'll need to know the serial number. There are parts catalogs to view.

the part # is 95044a1 it is a throttle link rod for throttle control. about $70.00. only plastic! any more suggestions.
