Having a hard time with this one. Serial is correct??? Checked all my sources... nothing. But could be old Kiekhaefer-Mercury built in 62-63???<br /><br />7044551 is killin' me... here I go off on another quest again. 85 HP, right???<br /><br />It is like reading a book & missing a couple chapters... lost without em'!!! LOL<br /><br />

Fone Man, turns out the motor is a 1975. My buddy at a marina cross referenced the numbers with his list of Canadian serial numbers and there it was. It's a long shaft with power tilt/trim that I think I can get for $500.00. Was that a good year for 85's?<br />Anyways I appreciate your help, thanks. <br />SOS

Good... sorry I wasn't much help but I guess now I need the Canadian List!!!<br /><br />Now I can use the excuse... "Is it one of those Canadian motors"??? LOL<br /><br />Have a great weekend... what is the temp this AM in CANADA... mid-40's here after cold front went through last nite!!! BRRRRRRRRRR!!! Talking our first frost on TV now!!!

Woke up this morning and there was snow on the ground...brrr is right. Infact it's snowing right now! Supposed to be warmer next week, hope so. I haven't put any of my boats away yet. Die hard or crazy, maybe but it's a long time till spring.<br /><br />SOS
