Help Found prop will it work?

Yes A friend gave me A stainless prop Part#48.72762A4 19P he said it was off A mercury inline6.I dont know the year or H.P.<br />I have A 1975 mercury 1500 150H.P. The prop that's on it bent just A little part # 48.77346A40L 19P It needs A trip to the prop shop.<br />I was wondering if the stainless will be ok.<br />Thanks,Tim

If it is the same diameter it shouldn't be any problem. You may have to change the thrust bushing.

How will I know if I need to change the trust bushing?

Look at the fit of your current prop. What's the gap between it and the gearcase of your Merc?<br /><br />Try the other one, with your current thrust bushing or washer. Is it the same? If so, you're good to go. If not, then you need a different part.<br /><br />It can't take more than a few minutes to swap the two to check.
