need some more help please, 1982 regal 27 foot twin 470 motor. i caunt get the drive to go up or down on one side i can hear the motor runs when i hit the trim switch. the other side is dead as a duck. i trace some wires and came up with four sets of wires leaving the pump they go through that hole in the back . to make it short the wires out towards the outdrive area. does wires need to connect inside there???. the wires are broken into little peices i meant dry rotten. thanks<br /><br />for any info.

Two of those wires are the trim-sender, For the trim-gauge... That's Optional...<br />The other two are the trim-limit switch... Bypass these two,+ the trim Should work, But it won't Stop at the trim limit.. It'll rise all the way to the trailer position....

thanks bondo for the quick come back, what do you meant when you say to bypass?? do you mean disconnect them or join them together? all four wires that goes out to the drive compartment are broken, in other word rotten off. thanks for the info
