hi guys.<br />by any chance is there a way to use a yamaha control box on a evinrude 30 hp ,,,i have this 30 hp evirude trying to convert to remote. and have the oportunity to buy a yamaha control box at very good price. is the an adaptor out ther or??<br />please advice.<br />luis

Hi luis......<br /><br />The only type of adapters I can think of are for generic type controls made by Tele-flex for their cables. Don't know of anyone making adapters for your purpose. Look around like on e-bay and sometimes you can find controls at reasonable cost to fit your Rude.

Which adapter are you looking for, I don't understand ?<br /><br />Also beware that there are 2 types of remote controls, depending on your motor throttle:<br /><br />Pull to open , and Push to open.<br /><br />You have to see your throttle linkage on motor, if you accelerate and lever pulls toward front, you need a Pull to Open, if lever pulls toward back of motor you'll need a Push to Open
