help I have searched all over and find no info on this boat

Hi guys and gals,
I have been floating around the site for about 3 days now because I am looking at trading my land toy to play in the water. I'm looking at a 1989 Starcraft Medalist 1701. It has a 3.0 merc i/o... the gentelman that I might be getting it from says he got it 2 years ago after it sat for around 5-7 years. says it runs good no soft spots in floor and no rips. from the pics it looks good. any help is good this would be my first boat.

good, I really like the boat but don't know what its worth minus what NADA says and I know my 4-wheeler is worth a pretty penny. but the darn thing won't pull a tube in the water or skiis for that matter.

If it's solid than it should be a great first boat. Rot is your biggest concern so check the deck CAREFULLY and try to get a look at the transom if you can from the inside.

98.5% of us down there have aluminum SC's. So he's fine right here.
