Help ID evinrude motor

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me id the year and horsepower of this motor I bought. It is missing the serial plate. It has a shifter on the front by the tiller handle. I am thinking 8 hp but not sure. Is there anywhere else to find id numbers on this motor (engine block, etc) thanks see picture

I think you might be able to find some marks on the freeze plugs?

can anyone help me? I need to order parts and not sure if it is a 6 or 8 hp and what year it might be

got it, I sent an emal to evinrude including a picture and the info from that freeze plug and they got right back to me. it is a 1991 evinrude 6 hp. thanks to the member that sent me a private messange suggesting I contact Evinrude directly.
