i just picked up a m40c, unsure of the year, for $350 bucks that didnt run.. got it home and she fired up on the 2nd try. turned out the kill switch tab wasnt in
.. the previous owner had wires running everywhere for the starter which brings me to my next point..
while trying to wire up the starter i somehow got something backwards and fried my CDI pack.. im sure that is my problem. before i tried to wire it up the motor cranked and had spark with the pull cord... i now have the starter wired up correctly and it is working fine.. the only problem is no spark at all.. i have looked at numerous parts diagrams of tohatsus and have yet to see one like i have maybe im overlooking something.. i have enclosed a pic to see if anyone can help me identify the part #.also where is the cheapest place i can purchase one?
It looks to be an all in one unit.. the box has the 2 plug wires coming out of it
