Help identify these parts and where they go on 4.3 merc

I got the 4.3 merc installed in my 99 starcraft but I had these left over. Anybody know where they go. Also the one piece exhaust manifolds had some pain in the butt gaskets that you had to drop in on the manifold bolts between the motor and the manifold (3 gaskets a side) Is there a better gasket and how reliable are they?

First question.. Of the 2 parts there, the bottom one is the spark plug lead holder. Should be one on each side of the engine, at the back of the head.

Don't recognize the other part...

One piece manifolds are bad news for engines.... Best get them out of there and convert to 2 piece...

The top one is used for pinching off fluid lines to keep them from leaking while disconnected. Unscrew the wing nut, place it on a a hose (such as a fuel hose) then tighten the wing nut to pinch the hose. Probably got dropped bysomeone working on the engine at some point.

Thanks for the help. They left me with only one of the spark plug lead holders. Are they important to keep on the there? I am surprised at how the engine wires sit right on the engine block. Are there any you have to be concerned about for vibration or heat damage?

Mercruiser thought they were important enough to spend money on and install them during production. I think they're important enough to reinstall if I remove them. They do keep the wires from chaffing and bouncing around, maybe keeping them from coming disconnected.

Ok I'll get another one ordered. I'll have to look at another 4.3 to see where to place them. thanks.
