Help Identify This Motor . . .

. . . I'd like to know a ballpark of the year built. It is on a 1977 StarCraft Super Sport 18 OB. What would a guy need to look out for on this era motor?
Is it worth anything if I start parting it? Owner doesn't know if it runs or not. By the looks of the lower unit, it has had a rough life?

either a 1976 or 1977 150hp, thats going by the cowl decal. A serial # would nail it down.
