I have a fairly old boat and got a mess trying to insure it. I need to get the make and model to the insurance company and a serial number. Nowhere anywhere is such things available on the boat. I don't know how to post pictures as well, but will be glad to mail it to anyone interested.
I've been told that it could be an Aristocraft dating back to mid 60's. The previous owner had it as an Impala about mid 80's! The engine is a 1975 Johnson...

I've tried in vain to find pictures of any or both of the above manufacturers, but can't find anything on the web. No boating agents can identify the boat. If it will help, the hull and decks is still in good condition.

As for the serial number, well, I can always invent one!!! The joke is that at first the insurance did not want to insure the road trailer as well. Don't ask, I can't say.
Regards

I remember Aristocrafts. Is it a wooden or fiberglass boat?

c/6
Hooty

Re: Help identifying boat

Thanx. Still searching in vain for more info, but I will check out the sites mentioned.
Boat is fibre glass with outboard mounting. Does not excactly fit the Aristocraft bill nor looks even vuaguly like the pics I've seen so far. Below deck is foam filled. I had to drill a hole in it to check if there was foam, since a dry deck is required by law here to have foam or at least three watertight compartments underneath.

Re: Help identifying boat

I sent you an E-Mail, your boat is an Aristocraft, not sure of the year but it's newer than the one I had, Mine had small rounded fins on the rear and a removable fiberglass top covering the back to back seats.
