Help Identifying transmission.

I have a 26 ft Stamus that was converted from I/O to Inboard. The previous owner could not give me any info reguarding the transmissions drive ratio. I looked on Mercruiser's website but they had no info for it. It currently has a 350 chevy powering it. The Model # is 250 and the Serial # is 2314406. Also any info on what transmission fluid to use would be greatly appreciated.<br />Thanks, Vince

My "BET" is you have a Borg Warner. Either a Velvet Drive or a V-Drive with a 2:50 gear ratio. Look for a metal tag. If so it uses Dextron III fluid.
