I posted this elsewhere but opinions were difficult to come by. Any thoughts at all welcomed.

1997 Seaswirl 1850 dual console f/s with 2005 Johnson 150 hp - not saltwater

OR

2001 Sea Pro 195 Dual console f/s with 2001 Yamaha 150 Saltwater II OX66

to be used in brackish and saltwater regularly.

Apples and Oranges, I know, but both in excellent shape and both costing the same. All opinions welcomed - especially if you happen to be familiar with either boat or engine mentioned.

Thanks

There is no difference between a "SW " motor and the regular motor except the price.

Seeing that your boating the "bigger" water, bigger is always better. ;)

Re: Help in choosing used boat/motor combo

you have 4 years difference in boats and motors, i would go with the 2005 motor, it the boat is in as good condition, as the 2001 boat.
