HELP in IDENTIFICATION OF BOAT?

Hi...I have the opportunity to pick-up a free boat. Yeah, right...anyway, At this point in time all I have are 2 photos and not much else. The owner says the lower unit has COBRA 6 on it. Can anyone id this boat CAPRICE...not coming up on any searches...I don't know the year but, I basically plan on cannibalizing the thing and keeping the trailer.

There should be a HIN on the stern of the boat (usually stamped into it below the rub rail). That'll help you identify the make. Might be on the capacity plate too (which should be up by the helm). If the LU says Cobra on it, you have an OMC "sumthin'." Part that bugger out on CL or Ebay.

If all you're going to do is cannibalize the boat and keep the trailer and it is free than by all means go for it. With OMC Cobra parts getting rarer and rarer you shouldn't have a tough time parting it out.

The boat is a Bassmaster Boats, Inc. "CAPRICE" made in SC until 1990....out of business.
