help. is this the correct prop?

ok its a 1983 johnson 35 hp . what came off of it was a 10x13 the boat store sold me a 10.3x13 is it the same? it looks a little close to the skeg. thanks

If the prop doesn't hit anything, the little extra diameter is of no consequence. It's the pitch you need to be concerned about. If it was correct before, it's correct now. Just because it fits however, does not make it right.

so 10.3 i take it would be the diameter and 13 is the pitch ? now will the blade flex at all under way? if so i think it may hit, i got about a 1/4 inch of space between prop and skeg.

That seems a little close and yes the blade will flex a little but I would not expect 1/4 inch since we are talking about 35 HP, not 135 or 235. Start slow and gradually ease on power. If you get to wide open throttle with no problem it should be good to go.
