help johnkc;re tilt & trim

I'm about to start work on this tilt trim and was wondering how much fluid (hydraulic)to put in? There is no window to see level?

WWEELLL, you could start with a quart of ATF,+ go from there..................it would be nice if you mentioned just WHAT trim pump we have here.....

trevor ,you should use your original post to keep us all in tune with your line of questions, with engine tilted all the way up fill the res. till it s full to the fill screw hole.then put fill screw in and cycle it a few times then recheck the fluid level, top off again if necessary.did the nut trick work???

I tried the nut thing and my check valve screw came out in two pieces,i tryed to put it back together and re-install but when i did i get no tilt and no trim.

trevor the check valve is not supposed to be 2 pieces ,it is broken.time to visit the omc dealer for a new one

Johnkc; <br />Thank you so much for your help,it's nice to know that when you need a little help,that there is people(with patience) still willing to give some friendly advice and wisdom.I'm pretty handy at autorepair but completely new to boating.If there is anything i can ever help you with electricaly<br />(electrician) please don't hesitate.<br />I'm going to buy a new check valve,if i can find one,and i will definitaly let you know the results. <br />thanx again, trev
