Help me determine a price on my boat

I need to decide today what I'm doing with my current boat. I'm buying a different boat and need to get rid of my current one. The dealer has offered me $525 for it which I would say is fair but if I sold it myself I'm thinking I could more.

The boat is a really clean 1972 Larson tri-hull with a 1965 Evinrude 75hp electric shift and is sitting on a roller trailer. I've replaced the floor, steering cable and throttle cable. The seat and carpets are only a couple years old and are in really good shape. The trailer has been repainted and looks much nicer than it did when the pictures were taken. The motor has 94lbs of compression in each cylinder, starts of quick and sounds good...but it seems to bog down under load and water was getting into the lower unit. I tried to fix the water problem but haven't tested it enough you to know if it is fixed.

Should I take the $525 the dealer is offering and just be done with it. Or should I mess around with trying to get more on my own? The dealer is 7 hours away so I'm only wanting to make one trip.

By "Combo" you don't mean Boat, Outboard, Trailer and Bike, do you? :) If that is the case, then I am the buyer. :)
Jokes aside, I would try to sell on my own. This time of the year I say you could get at least twice the dealer's offer. Just my opinion.
Good luck!

I would auction it off on Ebay, have the "reserve price" set at $800. I think you will get that money. Plus, you will save yourself 7 hrs drive to the dealer, as the buyer should come to you and pick it up. I would not give it to dealer, unless the time is a big issue.

I actually bought it off eBay a year ago for $600. The only problem mentioned in that ad was the bad floor so I'm not sure how much more I could get for it. I have cleaned the boat up a lot since I got it. I'm pretty sure I could get $800 locally without too much trouble.

I'll be going down to the dealer anyway to pick up the new boat. Time really isn't an issue I justed wanted to get into the new boat and have the situation wrapped up is all.
