Anyone Have a 173 CC with a trolling motor on it? I own one and am told that a 24v motor is minimum to have good control, but where does one put the batteries? The battery compartment is extremely small and I might get one more in it, but dont think it will hold 3. HELP

If there is just no room how about 2 group 27 or 31 heavy deep cycle batteries just run the engine off one. And watch that voltage doesn't get too low on the pair. You'll still have to charge the batteries like any trolling setup
the engine battery will just have a slight edge. So you'll have to charge them seperately. You'll need batteries with at least a 105amp hour rating.
A heavy deep cycle is truely heavy 50+ lbs.The Trojan 30XHS Flooded is excellent but about $200.The DEKA 8A31DT absorbed mat is excellent as well at about $180. 1000 CCA rating. Maintenace free.I'm running 6 in my electric car so far heve performed well.Nothing is as hard on batteries as motive power.
